Terms of Service

These terms govern the Fluid app on iPhone, iPad and Mac and the tryfluid.co website. By using Fluid you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Using Fluid

You may use Fluid on devices you own or are authorized to use. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, access another person's data without permission, scrape accounts or overload the service. You are responsible for your Apple ID or invited-account credentials, device security and activity under your account.

Your content and sharing

You retain ownership of your content. You give Fluid permission to store, process, sync, back up and display it to provide the features you choose. Sharing a jot gives the addressed users access to its contents and attachments and the ability to edit the same live document. Share only content you are entitled to disclose. Do not use sharing to harass, spam or distribute unlawful content. We may restrict access or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

Removing a member or deleting a jot prevents future authorized server access, but cannot recall another person's exported copies. Edits you contribute to someone else's jot can remain in that jot after you leave or delete your account.

Apple and device integrations

Reminders and Calendar integrations can create, change and delete items in the connected Apple apps. Changes can propagate to other devices through Fluid or iCloud. Review results before relying on them for essential commitments. Disabling sync does not automatically remove previously created copies.

Optional Dock, clipboard, window, display, file and automation features act on your device with the permissions you grant. File deletion, Empty Trash and changes to other apps can have effects outside Fluid. Only perform actions you intend. Independent local utility data is managed separately from your Fluid account. Apple's services, GitHub, hosting providers, linked websites and export destinations are also subject to their own terms.

Gist and beta features

Gist is an on-device sentence-selection aid. It can miss context and requires your review before use. Features labelled beta, including Gist and the Dock, may change and can have limitations. Keep separate copies of essential material.

Availability and sync

Fluid is provided as available. We work to keep it reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free summaries, notification delivery or instant synchronization. Offline changes need a later connection and a functioning account to sync. On iPhone and iPad, the operating system can suspend the app, so reopening it may be necessary. Keep your own copies of essential content.

Account deletion and termination

You may stop using Fluid and request account deletion in Settings. Deletion requires network access and account verification. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed and what can remain in backups, exports, other people's content and independent local utilities. We may suspend or end access for misuse or a breach of these terms or law.

Liability and your rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fluid is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or data. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies under consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may change features and update these terms. Material changes will be identified in the app or on the website with an updated date. Mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply to you continue to apply. For support or questions, contact fluidproductivity@gmail.com.
